When Brooke Shelds ears in Downtown Jersey City's Cafe Basic, she likes to sit at the window and look out onto Erie Street. She also enjoys the cafe's butternut squash soup.
Shiels who recently starred on Broadway in "Cabaret," was in Jersey City this week shooting scene at St. Francis Hospital for "Rent-a-Husband," an Ilaria Borrelli-directed film she's starring in with Chevy Chase. Produced as a joint venture between U.S.-based Crisp Films and Italian producer Massimo Weehawken.
Gyusang Lee, the 37-year-old Staten Island resident who owns Cafe Basic, said he was very excited to have Shields come into his shop for her breaks between takes. "I saw every movie she has ever made," Lee said. "She's still beautiful. It's not only physical beauty, she has more - an elegance. " |
